Engineer Taster Day
Last week our team spent some time supporting Oldham Training Centre who hosted an engineering taster day to introduce young people into the industry. We are extremely grateful to have been given the opportunity to get involved in the event and share our knowledge and experience with the next generation of passionate engineers!

Throughout the day our engineers were on hand to support with practical workshops and answer any questions regarding apprenticeships in this sector. We were able to get involved in three sessions throughout the day, providing the students with a deeper understanding of what to expect if they chose to do an apprenticeship in engineering.
We believe apprenticeships are a great way to kickstart a career, not only do you get the opportunity to work whilst learning, but it provides you with an income. In addition to this, completing an apprenticeship can help young people adapt to the workplace and build confidence within it.

This style of event is immensely valuable as it allows young people to receive an introduction to a potential career, whilst being given the chance to freely ask any questions about the style of education or industry. It was a rewarding day for both the students and our Tindall engineers!
