Securing The 2022 World Cup
The world’s largest sporting event presented its host nation with an array of acute logistical and security concerns that are only experienced every four years.
Tindall Engineering was a crucial partner in meeting the latest security and safety needs, working in partnership with one of the UK’s leading door manufacturers.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar presented a unique security challenge with no room for compromise. Tindall Engineering were contracted to supply over 1600 sets of high security lock hardware for three of the stadiums with a quick turnaround being essential.

These doors needed to have a physical security accreditation rating of LPS 1175 SR3 making the MICO ABRYLL high security single point lock the first choice with its reputation as an extremely robust, reliable, high security locking system that had been well established both in the United Kingdom and overseas.
Minimum of SR3 accreditation required ...

Alongside the ABRYLL units which were fitted to the SR2 & SR3 doors, the SR2 doors also used the MICO ELITE and the INT Multipoint fitted to double doorsets.

From initial contract to arrival in Qatar, the project took six months to complete. Security restrictions have now been lifted, enabling us to disclose our involvement on this prestigious project.
