LPS 1673 is the latest physical security standard launched by LPCB in response to the rise of fast-moving, violent incidents targeting high net worth individuals and high-value assets. We tested and certified two of Tindall Engineering's existing locking systems to this crucial standard to ensure our solutions keep people safe and secure from evolving security threats.

The recent increase in fast-moving, violent attacks targeting high-profile locations brought growing scrutiny towards physical security systems. Most importantly, their resistance against pre-planned and opportunistic forced entry attempts and marauding terrorist attacks.

LPS 1673 is LPCB's latest security standard, developed in collaboration with the National Protective Security Authority (NPSA), the National Counter Terrorism Security Office, and the US Bureau of Diplomatic Security. The standard is designed to assess resistance against fast-moving, violent attacks using brute force as well as bladed and blunt-impact weapons. Physical security solutions that achieve this standard can be installed with confidence in their resistance against these types of attacks.

A selection of Tindall Engineering locking solutions has been tested and certified to meet LPS 1673. When combined with tested and certified doorsets, these locking systems provide robust protection for locations vulnerable to fast-moving, violent attacks.

The Rimlock and Modula are forced entry-resistant products already tested and certified to LPS 1175. Meeting the rigorous requirements of LPS 1673 has increased their flexibility for a broader range of applications.

The Modula is a mortice-fitted single-point locking solution providing a variety of cost-effective mortice locks for class-leading security and discretion without compromise. The 70mm backset design ensures an unobtrusive installation, keeping potential target locations concealed and secure. LPS 1673 tested versions include automatic deadlocking, manual deadlocking and electro-mechanical.
