1979Launch of the Multipoint Panic & Emergency escape range which was designed after the major fire incident at Woolworths, in Manchester. First ever panic system that could not be chained together. |
1996Tindall Engineering Ltd enter an exclusivity agreement with ASSA ABLOY UK to market the MICO Multipoint Panic & Emergency escape devices. |
2002Trading exclusivity agreement ends with ASSA ABLOY. Tindall continued to invest in the design and development of the MICO multipoint range to further enhance the range using the latest materials and technologies. |
2003First external access device (ELK) specifically designed for the Multipoint PE range was tested and approved to LPS 1175 SR3 in conjunction with security doors from Benweld Secure. |
2004New Integrated deadlock launched to reduce installation time on site and gave a more aesthetically pleasing finish. |
2010MICO EVO Multipoint range designed and developed to achieve extremely high security SR6 for high level security projects. |
2012Witness the redesign of the push plate actuator to make it easier to install and included a more attractive finish. This change was well received and then standardised across all the MICO product ranges. |
2013Standard lever handle was upgraded to our unique market leading stainless-steel heavy-duty lever handle as standard and retested to 1 million cycles of operation. |
2016Introduced the new stainless steel top tripping mechanism to further enhance the durability of INT range. |
2018MICO Multipoint range corrosion tested to BS EN 1670 grade 5 – exceptionally high corrosion resistance. |
2020Our new full stainless steel panic bar and pad actuator was designed for customers with stainless steel requirements. |
