GENERAL MANAGER CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF SERVICE AT TINDALL ENGINEERING LTD
Here at Tindall Engineering we would like to congratulate Ryan Ahern, who is celebrating 20 years of service at Tindall’s this month.
Ryan joined the company back in 1996 as a shop floor production operative and has progressed within the company over the years. Ryan is currently enjoying his role as General Manager at our Royton factory and says;
‘’I was first introduced to Tindall Engineering in the summer of 1996, when the company was in the process of preparing for a major increase in workload due to an exclusivity contract to supply ASSA UK Ltd with the MICO Emergency Exit Hardware. After two long years of working towards gaining my A-level qualifications in Biology and Chemistry, I felt that I was ready for some hands-on work in the real world. I met with Melvyn Tindall on the Thursday afternoon and started work on the following Monday. I remember my first job was sat at a multi spindle drill, machining a 3/32” hole in what seemed like a mountain of 8mm “Rod Anchor Pins”. As you can imagine, this was not the most enthralling first day and it wasn’t long before we were re-designing the internal mechanism of the MICO Multipoint Locks so that we never had to see the dreaded “Rod Anchor Pins” ever again. I take great pride in the fact that I have been involved in the transformation of the company and product range over the past 20 years but I am especially proud of the last 5-10 years where we have actively enhanced the quality, construction and operation all our lock ranges to a level where we can now honestly say that we are the market leaders within our sector. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank every single member of staff that I have had the pleasure of working with the past 20 years, without them the journey would not have been half as enjoyable”.
