| OPERATION |
|
Operating the full width push plate on the MICO SO44 emergency panic exit device fitted to the active leaf, allows for fast, single action operation to open the door. Supplied with an 8761 x 70mm backset modular lockset latch locates in a strike plate fitted to the passive leaf. Operating the full width push plate on the MICO 942 emergency exit panic bolt fitted to the passive leaf immediately retracts the locking shoots at the top and bottom on the leading edge of the door allowing both doors to swing open. The full width push plates each have the instruction PUSH TO OPEN on the point of use.
This emergency panic exit device for double doors allows for fast easy operation to open the doors in the event of a panic emergency. The unique light action automatic bolting upon door closure is fitted as standard. The independently sprung bolts are steel, non-tapered with a 23mm throw on the MICO 942 and a sprung anti-thrust bevel latch on the modular lockset. This combination of emergency panic exit hardware offers a high level of safety without compromising on security.

| APPLICATIONS |
|
Emergency exit panic hardware for double doors allowing fast, easy opening operation of both doors. Suitable for use on double doors in areas where members of the public, in the event of a panic situation may not be familiar with the operation of the emergency panic exit device.
Can be used on a double door set with plain or rebated meeting stiles. On rebated doors the MICO SO44 stand off panic latch is used with a rebate strike plate fitted to the passive leaf.
The light action for ease of escape in the event a panic emergency makes the MICO three point locking system ideal for many applications. Examples are for use by the local authorities, retail stores, store rooms, plant rooms, function halls and sports halls.
