However demanding the application MICO multi-point locks can be relied on. We test our products to the most stringent standards applicable for each product. We also work closely with manufacturers of timber, steel and composite doors to integrate our MICO systems with their products.

In partnership with them, this allows us to offer specialist security solutions such as ballistic doors, 4 hour fire rated security doors tested and approved by HOSDB for central government security use. Also high security doors to LPS 1175 (issue 6).

The purpose of this standard is to evaluate the resistance to unauthorized access offered by various physical security products. The standard specifies eight grades of security according to the tools and time likely to be used by a criminal. Specifiers can therefore select products/ systems that provide levels of security matching their needs

BRE is the UK's leading security testing house. BRE asses our locking systems together with a doorset to the LPS 1175 Loss prevention standard. The methods of attack and tools used increase significantly depending on the rating required. For example a Grade 4 accreditation will include tools such as: cordless drill, disc cutter, crow bar, sledge hammer, Steel Wedges, etc. This type of test is designed to replicate a professional attack.

It is important to note the Issue number relating to the accreditation as they are updated regularly with new attack methods and tools. For detailed information on the latest issues, methods and tool lists please visit www.bre.co.uk

The majority of our locking systems including our standard 942-3 have been successfully tested as part of secure doorsets to LPS 1175 Grade 4 (issue 6) and conform to all requirements of BS EN 1125. For a list of compatible doorsets please contact us or visit www.theredbooklive.co.uk
